Peer Support Program
Mission
The Student Counseling Services Peer Support Program aims to foster a supportive community where students can connect with trained Peer Mentors. Our mission is to create a safe space for students to discuss their concerns, no matter how minor, and to promote mental well-being through empathetic listening and shared experiences. Through the Peer Support Program, students can feel empowered to navigate challenges, build resilience, and enhance their university experience.
How it Works
- Connect with a Peer: Students who are screened by Student Counseling Services staff and determined to have minor concerns will be matched with a Peer Mentor.
- One-on-One Support: Engage in confidential, supportive conversations to work through challenges
- Regular Check-ins: Peer Mentors are available for consistent check-ins, ensuring you have the resources and guidance you need throughout the semester
- Getting Matched: Peer Mentor Referral Form
How Will Working With a Peer Mentor Help Me?
