Group Therapy and Support Groups

Many students feel isolated and alone in regard to their challenges, experiences, thoughts, and feelings. Group therapy and support groups offer students a unique opportunity to meet others with similar concerns in a safe and supportive space. Students can share their problems and feel understood, supported, and encouraged by their peers. We offer a variety of groups designed to reflect the interests and needs of the MSU student community. Although groups may differ, they generally meet weekly for 60 to 90 minutes, and include 5 to 10 members, and one or more professionals who act as group facilitators. Times and dates TBA.

What is group therapy?

What is a support group?

A group in which peers receive support from each other. No time commitment required, though regular participation may be beneficial. No intake appointment required for participation
